Borrego Springs has a rugged and remote feel, nestled at the base of the Anza Borrego State Park and surrounding mountains west of the Salton Sea. The home is a personal residence for an architect. After years of design and investigation into an appropriate structural system, he selected ASUL to perform the engineering services and construct the exterior shell of the home.
All living spaces, as well as a two-car garage, are contained within the steel structure. Floor to ceiling glass provides views to the east, while four large decks with paired doors allow for access to the surrounding landscape at the west.
